18/01/2014

Today, it rained. Anyone who spends any time with me will have heard to words 'I Hate Rain' come out of my mouth on a regular occasion. I have even been known to refuse to go outside if it is raining. Which is what I did today. Woke up ready to go adventuring and oh it's pouring down. Not cool weather, not cool. So, I waited for the rain to stop and then headed out for an adventure with Rosie the dog. We walked back to our house from Abereiddi beach (approx 5.5 miles) along the pembrokeshire coast path. All morning I had been itching to get outside, so to actually be out there was amazing. Wasn't an easy walk, the ground was pretty saturated with water and very slippery underfoot. Add in some pretty steep hills and things can get a bit tricky. But still, the walk was beautiful, the air was fresh and I didn't see a single other person, so many thoughts were had. So this was outside today. I look forward to what I will see tomorrow.

Time To Go Get Outside

Today I made a late New Years Resolution. To get outside more. I grew up outside, spending as much of everyday as possible outdoors. And everything i love doing is done outside. However, over the last few years i have found more and more of my day gets caught up inside, shutting myself away in small rooms with no horizons. I used to force myself to do this, because I had to, to make sure I got enough work done. But now, no not at all, it’s just become a bad habit and one that does me no good, mentally or physically. So this year, whether or not I actually have to push myself out the door, I’m going to spend so much more time outdoors. So lets see where this goes. 2014, even more adventures please.
